Security Update – Changes to WordPress Login Procedure

Many of our clients will receive instructions for changing their WordPress login procedure over the coming days.

We have recently experienced an increase of hacking attempts on our web servers. While non of the attempts were successful at gaining access to the server, they did succeed in slowing down server response time and causing trouble in general. Server security is obviously of vital importance, and so we are taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future. One of the steps we have taken is to implement a new security measure on most WordPress installations that we manage or host. This update changes the URL that is used to access the client WordPress dashboard.

If you are a Realtech client and have not received an update WordPress link, you can contact our support team to get specific details for your website.

This update does not affect existing credentials, so users can continue using the same username and password to access the WordPress dashboard through this new link.

When you receive the updated link for your site, it’s important that you update any reference to the old dashboard login link that may have been saved in favorites or bookmarks.

Multiple attempts to access the old dashboard login URL will result in your IP address being blocked. If you are a Realtech client and you receive a message that your IP is blocked when you attempt to login, please call us at 941-870-5707 so that we can unblock your IP. If you are blocked from accessing your site, you may need to provide your IP address to our support staff. You can see your IP by going to
